Babajob is India’s largest blue collar jobs marketplace that connects millions of job seekers and employers through the web, IVR and mobile app. Recent analysis showed huge drop offs on our mobile channel leading to a redesign of the platform. Aim was to create a light-weight platform with simplified user flows for job seekers who access our platform on slow, flaky 2G connection. We looked at most important decision drivers and visually differentiated them while removing the less relevant data on the page, making pages more readable and usable. Research showed salary and location to be two most important data points and hence they were visually made more prominent. Also, mandatory requirements for the job were visually segregated enabling an easier informed decision making for users.
